JACOB KRAHN

Jacob Krahn, 66, died July 2 in the Swift Current, Sask., Hospital. He was a resident of Herbert, Sask., and a member of the Herbert Mennonite Brethren church.

Born in Hochfeld, South Russia, on January 13, 1901, he became a Christian while a teenager and was baptized upon his confession of faith and accepted into the Mennonite Brethren church at 18. For many years he was a trustee and usher in the Herbert Church. He came to Canada in 1926 and in 1930 he was married to the former Agnes Pauls. God blessed the family with five children.

The funeral was July 5 in the Herbert Church with the brethren Frank. Peters and Herman Voth ministering. Mr. Krahn is survived by his wife, Agnes; one daughter, Mrs. V. (Lorie) Dombrosky; and four sons. Erwin of McMahon, Sask., Jake of Regina, and Kenneth and Lawrence of Herbert.
