MARTIN H. DOERKSEN

Martin H. Doerksen, son of A. M. and Anna Harder Doerksen, was born Nov. 8, 1888, in McPherson County, Kansas. He moved with his parents to their farm near Medford, Okla. where they lived for a number of years.

He accepted Christ as his personal Saviour, and was baptized and received into the Mennonite Church by Rev. Abraham Ratzlaff on July 4, 1909. He remained faithful in the hope of Eternal Life.

In 1917 he was married to Tina Wiens in Medford. They lived in Meade County, Kansas until January 1932. From there they moved to their home near Felt, Okla.

He departed this life on Saturday afternoon, June 16, 1962, in Boise City, Okla., at the age of 73 years, seven months, and eight days.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, John, Abe, Jake and Pete; and two sisters, Lizzie, Mrs. J. Doerksen, and Susie.

He leaves to mourn his sudden departure his wife Tina of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Irene Isom; two granddaughters, Christina Lou and Alfa Jean Isom; five sisters, Anna, Mrs. G. E. Thiessen, Tina, Mrs. Ben S. Doerksen, Mary, Mrs. J. P. Neufeld, Margaret, Mrs. H. F. Sawatzky, and Mrs. A. L. Doerksen, all of California.
