JOHN J. WIENS

John J. Wiens was born in South Russia in 1868 and came to the United States at the age of 25. He settled in Minnesota where he married Aganetha Enns 55 years ago. Later they moved to Aberdeen, Idaho and 30 years ago moved to 1431 N. Cottage Street, Salem, Oregon.

He was sick only a few days and died in a Salem hospital on March 30, 1951, at the age of 83.

Surviving besides his wife are five children, Mrs. Lillie Unruh, Mrs. Margaret Polanski and John Wiens, all of Salem, Frank Wiens of Portland and Robert Wiens of Payette, Idaho; 17 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Mennonite church at Pratum, where he was a member, Rev. J. M. Franz and Rev. W. A. Regier officiating. Interment was made in the Dallas IOOF cemetery.
