JOHN P. PETERS

Funeral services were conducted in the Coaldale (Alta.) church on June 28 for John P. Peters. Rev. A. P. Regier and Rev. D. J. Pankratz spoke at the service while Rev. D. G. Dyck conducted the graveside service.

Mr. Peters was born September 17, 1885 in Nikopol, South Russia. Upon his confession of faith he was baptized and accepted into the Mennonite Brethren Church. In 1913 he married Sara Bergen and to this union God gave eleven children. The family came to Canada in 1926 and lived in Manitoba as well as Alberta. Since his retirement in 1952 Mr. Peters lived in Coaldale. His health was failing for the last few years and he passed away on June 25.

He leaves to mourn, his wife, one son, one daughter-in-law, nine daughters and six sons-in-law. One daughter predeceased him in childhood.
