ANNA S. WIEBE

Anna S. Wiebe, daughter of Frank W. and Susanna Wiebe, was born on Nov. 29, 1910 at Elmwood, Okla. She died Dec. 3, 1979 at the St. Mary's Hospital, Enid, Okla.

As a child she moved with her family to Medford, where she attended grade school and high school. She later attended business college at Enid. She was baptized and became a member of the Mennonite Church at Medford, where she remained a faithful member until her death.

In 1936 she began a career as secretary and program assistant with the ASCS Office in Medford, where she worked 38 years. At the time of her retirement in 1974 she had the longest tenure of service of the Grant County ASCS Office and was presented a plaque by the county committee for loyal and dedicated service to duty in the agriculture programs and a special thanks for a job well done.

Those who knew her loved her. She was a kind person with a genuine love and loyalty to her large circle of family and friends. She found expression in working quietly behind the scenes in a loving, caring way, without thought of reward. In her quiet way she served others, and in her quiet way she served her Lord. Her goal in life was to look, to be, and to do. Her very best was a tribute to her and an inspiration to all who knew her.

She is survived by a sister, Pauline Wiebe of Newton, Kan. Preceding her in death were two sisters, Hulda and Martha, and a half-sister, Marie Wiebe.
