Birth date: 1880

text of obituary:

. . .

— The First Mennonite church of Hillsboro was filled to overflowing last Friday afternoon when double funeral services were held for David A. Hiebert, 71, and his son, Franklin Hiebert, 38. The son passed away on Monday at the Salem hospital in Hillsboro after a lingering illness, and the elder Mr. Hiebert died the following day at the same hospital where he had undergone surgery for internal hemorrhages. Both were born and raised in the Hillsboro community. Monroe Hiebert of North Newton is one of the seven surviving children in the family, and the mother, Mrs. Lena Hiebert, also survives. The services were in charge of Rev. H. T. Unruh, assisted by Rev. Boehringer of the Evangelical U.B. church.
