text of obituary:

VICTOR JOHN ARENDT

On July 21, the Lord called home Victor John Arendt, son of Henry and Mary Arendt of Winnipeg, after a short life of 11 months. He died as a result of a malignant growth that was first detected in February. During the time of his illness he was hospitalized for four weeks in the Winnipeg Children's Hospital and for the remainder of his short life was cared for at home.

He is survived by his parents, a sister Rosella, and brother Lawrence, and the grandparents on both sides of the family. The family is comforted by the words of Jesus, "Suffer little children and forbid them not to come unto me, for of such is the kingdom of heaven." The funeral service was conducted in the Central Mennonite Brethren Church, Winnipeg, July 23, with C. Wall and B. W. Sawatsky ministering.
