— The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin E. Peters of west of Newton was fatally injured last Sunday evening when their car, driven by Mrs. Peters, crashed head-on into a northbound car driven by Earl E. Schroeder, 20, on highway K-15 north of town. The three and a half month old child, Gerald Lee, passed away at the Bethel hospital early Monday morning. Mr Schroeder, whose home is at Goessel, suffered a possible skull fracture and other injuries, while Mrs. Peters and a two-year-old son, Ronald, were less seriously injured. Mr. peters suffered only minor cuts and bruises. Funeral services for the child were to be held at the Walton Mennonite church Wednesday afternoon.
