HEAD ON COLLISION TAKES LIVES OF TWO DRIVERS NEAR SCOTT CITY, KANS.

Scott City, Kansas. — Gust. Mastre, formerly of Hillsboro, was one of two men who lost their lives in a head-on collision near here on Friday, Oct. 17. Funeral services for Mr. Mastre were held here on Tuesday, Oct. 21, and at the Lonetree church near Galva on Wednesday, where interment was made.

It was reported that dust obscured the vision of the drivers and caused the accident. Mr. Mastre was killed instantly, and the driver of the other vehicle, a pick-up truck, passed away within a short time.

Mr. Mastre, who formerly operated a filling station and grocery at Hillsboro, is survived by his wife and ten children.
