text of obituary:

KATHERINE BERG

Katherine Berg, nee Neufeld was born September 13, 1888, in Schoenhorst, South Russia. She died February 25, 1965, at the age of 76 after a long time of periodic illness resulting from a leg injury in 1963. She grew up in a Christian home and at 17 years made peace with God and was baptized and accepted into the Mennonite Brethren church. She was married in 1907 and to this union were born 11 children, four of whom preceded their mother in death. Her husband died in Siberia after a separation of 12 years.

She migrated to Canada after World War 2 and settled in Herbert, later moving to Winnipeg where she joined the Elmwood Mennonite Brethren Church. Mourning her departure are six children and their families, a brother and a sister, and many friends and relatives.
