HENRY KNELSON

A beloved husband and father. Henry Knelson, was born March 17. 1881 in Steinau, Russia. He immigrated to Canada in 1900 to settle in the Winkler district of Manitoba. In 1904 he was united in marriage with Helen Nickel. In this union were born 5 sons and 4 daughters. In 1908 they moved to Saskatchewan to homestead in the Hodgeville district where they farmed until 1935 when they moved to Makinson, B.C. In 1945 they came back to Saskatchewan and retired in Herbert where brother Knelson laid his wife to rest in 1954 and where he resided until the time of his death. Later he was united in marriage with Katherine Loewen of Coaldale, Alberta.

He was in reasonably good health until about 5 months ago when he entered Herbert Hospital. Later he was admitted to Grey Nuns Hospital in Regina on Nov. 19, 1964, where he underwent surgery. He was at peace with the Lord and in his suffering looked forward almost impatiently to the time when he could go "home". This was granted on January 7, 1965.

He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, 4 daughters, and 4 sons, 2 sons-in-law, 36 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren.

We will miss him but we know there is a time of reunion awaiting us. The family thanks those who brightened his days with visits, cards, letters, and acts of kindness shown.
