EDUCATOR, AUTHOR DIED AT 63

Corn, Okla. — Relatives here have received word from Los Angeles, Calif., of the passing there of Dr. Henry C. Thiessen, 63, who served as the president and dean of the Los Angeles Baptist Theological Seminary until his resignation this summer.

Dr. Thiessen was formerly head of the New Testament Greek department at Wheaton College in Illinois, and is the author of “Introduction to the New Testament” and other books.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Herbert Vogel of Dallas, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Geo. D. Wiens and Mrs. J. D. Klassen of Corn, Miss Kate I. Thiessen of Los Angeles; two brothers, John Thiessen of Detroit and P. B. Thiessen of Colony.
