RETIRED MINISTER AND MISSION WORKER PASSED AWAY AT AGE OF 82

Wadsworth, Ohio. — A number of people from this community attended the funeral of J. A. Liechty, 82, at the oak Grove church near Smithville on May 5. Bro. Liechty, a retired Mennonite minister, passed away at his Orrville home on May 2 after an illness of several months.

In early life he taught school, and was ordained to the ministry in 1903. He was much interested in missionary endeavors and was in charge of the Canton Mission for some time before moving to Orrville in 1918. He was also an able accountant and devised and published a perpetual calendar.
