— Funeral services took place at the Tabor Mennonite church on Tuesday, Nov. 5, for Miss Selma Schmidt, aged 50, who died at the Bethel Deaconess hospital on Saturday evening, Nov. 2. Rev. H. B. Schmidt was in charge of the service at the Tabor church, and an earlier service for immediate relatives at the Moody Funeral Home in Newton was in charge of Rev. D. J. Unruh. Miss Schmidt had been employed at the Bethel hospital for 17 months and had been a pateint at the hospital for two months. She was born in Marion county on Feb. 15, 1896.
