JOHN HEER

John Heer, son of Jacob and Elizabeth Bachman Heer, was born in Clay county near Green, Kansas, on March 17, 1878. He passed away at his home in Miltonvale, Kansas, on Tuesday, February 5, 1946, shortly before 9 A. M., at the age of 67 years, 10 months and 19 days. he grew to manhood in the community of Green.

At the age of 11 years, he was converted and joined the Brethren in Christ church, living a consistent Christina life and keeping the faith to the end.

On February 12, 1902, he was united in marriage to Alice Craft, who preceded him in death on October 4, 1914. To this union four children were born. Wilbur Henry and Dayton Jacob, who died in childhood, and Ila Roene and Archie Edward, both now residing in California.

On June 9, 1917, he was united in marriage to Lena Rudiger. this union was blessed with four children, who now survive his passing: Mary Anna of Springbrook, Wis., Andrew of Marion, Ind., Martha Caroline and John Franklin, both living at home.
