FALLING LIMB CAUSES DEATH OF LANCASTER COUNTY YOUTH, 21

Lancaster. Pa. — Amos B. Bieler, 21 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Christian M. Bieler, R.R. 4, died at 8:00 p. m. on May 24 from a head injury suffered that morning.

The young man was on a ladder sawing off a tree limb when it struck him as it fell to the ground. He came down off the ladder and walked to the house. At noon the doctor was called, and later in the afternoon he became unconscious. Death was due to a fracture at the base of the skull.

He is survived by his parents and the following brothers and sisters: Jemima (Mrs. David Glick), Salina, Mary, Fannie (Mrs. Christ. Bieler) and Christian Jr. He was a member of the Old Order Amish church.
