LEVI M. MILLER

Levi M. Miller, son of Levi M. Miller and Fanny Chupp Miller, was born Feb. 23, 1871, in Holmes county, Ohio. He died April 4, 1950, reaching the age of 79 years and 40 days.

Mr. Miller had three brothers and three sisters. His sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.

While he was a young boy, his parents moved to Indiana. He spent the larger part of his life there.

He was baptized upon the confession of his faith when 18 years old, and was received into the membership of the Old Order Amish church. He retained his membership with that church until 1917, when they moved to Montana. They at that time joined the Bethlehem Mennonite church at Bloomfield. He remained a loyal member of this church till his death.

On Sept. 20, 1894, at Mt. Ayr, Indiana, he was united in holy matrimony with Miss Mattie Miller. For over 55 years they shared their joys and their sorrows which make for a blessed union. To this union seven children were born, three boys and four girls. Two boys and three girls preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife, his children, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Miller of Freeman, S. D., and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Senner of Bloomfield, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one brother, Menno Miller of Arthur, Ill., and a large number of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Since the beginning of this year, the health of our beloved father began to fall rapidly. On Feb. 23, his birthday, he suffered a severe stroke which affected both his mind and his body. After this he was rational only during short intervals. He died just 31 years later than two of his sons, who died in 1919. His blessed Lord called him home April 4, at 9:30 a. m. This was a home-going for him, for he trusted, loved, and honored the Lord Jesus who relieved him of his suffering.
