— Funeral services were held at the Missionary church at Elbing on Thursday afternoon, Jan. 6, for little Larry Joe Balzer, 3, only child of Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Balzer of Whitewater who assed [sic passed] away Jan. 3 at St. Francis hospital, Wichita, of infantile paralysis. The services were conducted by Rev. A. A. Schmidt and Rev. H. B. Schmidt. Left to mourn the child’s passing, in addition to the parents, are the grandparents, Peter Balzer of Whitewater and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mosiman of Newton.
