— A retired farmer and resident of the Newton vicinity since 1892, Jesse Peter Brenneman, passed away at his home in Newton last Saturday evening at the age of 88. Until 1943 he lived on a farm one-half north of Zimmerdale, and he was a member of the East Emmett church. Surviving him are his wife, four daughters and one son: Naomi and Sarah Brenneman and Mrs. Alvin Stahly of Newton, Brs. Abram Zook of Portland, Ore., and Amos J. Brenneman of Florence. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at the Pennsylvania Mennonite church near Hesston, with Rev. Roland Ritter and Rev. Earl Buckwalter in charge.
