Fatal Accident At Meno, Oklahoma, Sunday, December 6

HAROLD JANTZ INSTANTLY KILLED WHILE ON WAY TO MORNING CHURCH SERVICES

Friends here have received the sad news that Harold Jantz, Meno, Okla., was killed Sunday morning, Dec. 6, while on the way to church.

According to information received here Mr. Jantz collided with a car driven by Cecil Unruh. During the impact the door of the Jantz car was swung open and Mr. Jantz was thriwn {sic] out and broke his neck. Death was almost instantaneous.

Mr. Jantz, who was expected to be drafted soon, was the son of Mrs. Lena Jantz of Meno. He is survived by his wife, the former Esther Regier of Turpin, Okla., two sisters and two younger brothers. One infant son died a few months ago.

The time and place of Mr. Jantz's funeral and extent of injuries of occupants of the other car was not reported.

Harold C. Jantz

Our beloved husband and son, Harold C. Jantz, passed away to be with his blessed Lord on Sunday morning, December 6, 1942 at 10:30 o'clock, on his way to church, near Meno, Oklahoma, at the age of 25 years, 4 months and 17 days. His sudden death came as the result of a tragic car accident, but we know that "The steps of a righteous man are ordered by the Lord."

Harold was born July 19, 1917, at Fort Coob [sic Cobb], Oklahoma, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Jantz. He received his first years of education near Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma. at the tender age of eleven eyars Harold lost his father and he, the oldest son, felt keenly the responsibility of providing for his mother and other sisters and brothers. In August, 1933, Harold moved with his mother to Meno, Oklahoma, where he finished grad school. In the fall of 1934 he enrolled in the Bible course at the Oklahoma Bible Academy, where he attended that year. Then in the fall of 1938 he again enrolled in the Bible course to learn more about the Lord and His word.
