Anna M. Ediger, daughter of Peter H. and Kathryn Martens Ediger, was born on January 24, 1915, in McPherson County, Kansas. She also attended the elementary school of this county and after the completion of the same she attended the Inman high school and graduated from there in 1934. Wherever she went she had a friendly and cheering word and through her kind words and deeds she won the friendship and love of those who knew her. she will be greatly missed by those who were with her and in whose company she often was seen.
At the age of 17 she heard the voice of her Savior calling to her and she yielded to his call and gave her heart to Christ. Upon the confession of her faith in Christ Jeuss as her personal Savior she was baptized on May 24, 1931, by Rev. A. J. Dyck and accepted as a member into the Hoffnungsau mennonite church, whose true and faithful member she remained to the end. She foudn pleasure in working in the S. S., the C. e. and in the mission circle. She was a emmbe rof the Happy Hour Mission Club of her church at the time of her death. While she was lying in pain ain the Halstewad hospital on the day of the mission sale last october, some friends called to see her and in her pain she forgot these and asked, how much the scarf she had especially made for th sale had brought. While the answer was given her, she said, it is well, so that will be the last thing I will be able to do in my life, and so it has come.
