Our father, Adam Nightingale, was born March 19, 1854, in Pland, Russia. There he spent the days of his childhood with his paretns. Early in life he was converted and baptized upon the confession of his faith by Elder Tobias Unruh and united with Mennonite church in Russia.About 1874 he came to America with his parents and made his home in McPherson county, kansas, wehre he was united in marrige to Miss Anna Koehn.
