Obituary

— Mrs. Mary Epp-Friesen was born November 20, 1863 in Russia. In 1876 she came to America with her parents and settled on a farm near Halstead. Here she was baptized by Rev. Christian Krehbiel and accepted into the membership of the Mennonite church.

May 25th, 1882 she married to C. S. Friesen. 11 children were born to this union, two of these preceding her in death.

She had been ailing for about two years. May 17 at 8 p.m.l she passed away. She is survived by her husband, nine children 33 grandchildren, one sister. The children are, Mrs. Jacob and Mrs. John Stucky of Alta Mill, Frank and John Friesen, Halstead, Curt Friesen, Hutchinson, Mrs. Aron Ratzlaff, Hutchinson, Dave Friesen, Hutchinson, Abe Friesen, Wichita, Mrs. Julius Boese, Holcomb, Kansas.
