Opal Rose Schwartz, daughter of Marie and Rudolf Schwartz, was born at her home near Moundridge July 3, 1922, and died Sunday evening May 17, 1931. She reached the age of 8 years, 10 months and 14 days.

As an infant she was healthy and strong. The first signs of illness were noticed by her parents about the age of 3
