AGED WOMEN PASSES AWAY IN CHURCH

Mt. Lake, Minn., Aug 14. — The congregation at the First Mennonite Church on Sunday morning, August 10, was deeply stirred when one of the most faithful members of the church, Mrs. Gerhard Wall, died in the pew. Mrs. Wall had been suffering from a weak heart and during the last few days felt a discomfort in her head. After cooling the head with water, the pressure was relieved and the patient felt improved. This was also the case on Sunday morning. Although Mr. Wall, her husband, urged her to rest at home, she was determined to accompany him to Sunday School since her condition seemed to be improving. After the classes were closed, Mrs. Wall collapsed in her seat. Her husband was quickly called to her side with other relatives, and the lifeless body was laid on the bench. Dr. Piper, who at that time was in the nearby hospital, was called and appeared on the scene in a few minutes, but the soul of the aged mother had already departed into the Great Beyond. This took place soon after 10:30 A.M.

Mr. and Mrs. Wall for many years have resided across the road east of the First Mennonite church. Mr. Wall feels the loss of his companion very much, having lived with her the last 59 years. Funeral services will be held at the church Thursday afternoon.
