Mrs. Jacob Harder

Mt. Lake, Minn., July 11. — Mrs. Jacob Harder, mother of Mr. P. J. Harder, passed away at the Old People's Home on Wednesday evening, July 10. Funeral services were conducted at the First Mennonite Church on Sunday afternoon, Rev. I. J. Dick having charge of the services.

Mrs. Harder was born in the Mennonite colony Bergthal in South Russia, Apr. 23, 1838. On Oct 31, 1857, she became the wife of Mr. Jac. Harder. After joining the other emigrants to America, they settled on a farm northeast of Butterfield where they spent the years from 1876 until 1884. Then they m9ve to the village of Butterfield where they opened a general store.
