Mrs. Emma Wenger

Wayland, Iowa, Dec. 26. — Mrs. Emma Wenger, daughter of Ulrich and Anna Hertig, was born on Sept. 7, 1882, near Wayland, Iowa. She came to her untimely end on December 18, 1929 at the age of 47 years, 3 months and 11 days. In 1898 she was baptized by Rev. P. E. Stuckey and received into the fellowship of the Mennonite church.

On February 25, 1904 she was united in marriage with Christian S. Roth. This union was blessed with one son, Omer, who is still living. On August 23, 1910, this union was severed through the death of Mr. Roth.

In May 19, 1917, she was again united in the bonds of matrimony with Jacob Wenger, who preceeded [sic] her in death on march 23, 1928. She leaves to mourn her premature departure, one son, Omer one daughter-in-lay [sic], one grandchild, Verlee Roth, two brothers, Christian of Wayland and Jacob of Washington, three brothers, having preceeded [sic] her in death; one sister, Mrs. Albert Roth of Wayland and many other relatives and friends. — Wayland News.
