Mt. Lke, Minn., Aug. 29. — David P. Hiede succumbed to a long period of suffering, from which he was happy to be relieved, early Sunday morning. the end came after two months in bed during which time he suffered much pain and agony. His illness was of such a nature that he found it almost impossible to take on nourishment, and consequently, he wasted away to a mere handful of skin and bones.

Funeral services were held from the Bethel church on Wednesday afternoon, and a large number gathered to pay their last respects to the memory of the deceased.

The deceased was born on October 7, 1881, on the parental farm a half mile south of Mountain Lake. From here, his parents moved to a farm four miles west of Mountain Lake, where he spent the days of his youth. In 1902 he was baptized and became a member of the First Mennonite church. At the age of twenty-one he was married and the union was blessed with four sons and one daughter. The daughter and two sons are married, and all of the children are living and in good health.
