Mrs. Anna Warkentin

Inman, Kan., Jan. 4. — Mrs. Anna Warkentin, nee Unruh was born on May 9, 1846, in Antonifka, Poland. In the year 1863 she was united in marriage with Jacob Schmidt. They came to America in 1874, and settled near Florence, Kansas, and later moved onto a farm near Galva. In the year 1897 they moved to Fairbanks, Texas, and i 1905 they moved to Fairview, Okla. Her husband passed away on Feb. 16, 1906. On April 14, 1907, she united in marriage to Jacob Toews at Langdon, N. Dakota. Mr. Toews passed away on Oct. 16, 1922, she She united in marriage with Isaac Warkentin. They made their home with their children, Isaac T. Penner's near Inman. Mrs. Warkentin became ill with the flu and pneumonia followed which caused her death on Dec. 30, at the age of 82 years, 7 months, and 21 days. She leaves her husband, 6 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 5 of the children and 8 of the grandchildren preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held in the Zion church Wednesday afternoon. Rev. A. G. Ensz officiated and was assisted by Rev. P. G. Hiebert of Peabody, Kansas, and Rev. I. N. Mastre of Grafton, N. Dakota. Burial was in the Zion cemetery. — Inman Review.
