Wernahrd Schweizer was born on Nov. 2, 1840, in Oberdorf, Canton Basselland, Switzerland, and died at the Putman County Home near Ottawa, Ohio, on January 3, 1928, at the age of eighty-seven years, two months and one day. He came to America in his early twenties, and has lived in the community around Pandora most of his life.
