NOAH V. BRENNEMAN

Noah V. Brenneman was born in Johnson County, Iowa, Nov. 22, 1901, to Jacob C. and Lydia Zimmerman Brenneman. He died June 6, 1993, at Pleasantview Home, Kalona, Iowa, where he had lived for two weeks.

He married Lula Mae Martin on Dec. 25, 1927. they observed their 65th wedding anniversary Dec. 25, 1992. They lived all but five years of their married lfie on the farm where Noah was born and raised.

Noah made friends easily and never met a stranger. In his retirement years he enjoyed making things for family and friends in his woodworking shop. As a shut-in he greatly appreciated the visits of family and friends.

Pastors Michael Loss and Noah Helmuth were in charge of the funeral service June 8 at East Union Mennonite Church, Kalona, where he was a member. Burial was at Lower Deer Creek Cemetary [sic Cemetery].

He is survived by his wife; four children, Marilyn B. Brenneman of Greensboro, N.C., Lores B. Hochstetler of Williamsburg, Michael J. and Karen B. Stalter, both of Kalona; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and three sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
