IRENE C. MILLER

Irene C. Miller, 75, of Pryor, Okla., died Feb. 20, 2001, at her home. She was born Dec. 11, 1925, in rural Mayes County.

The daughter of Jake and Lizzie (Sutter) Scheffel, she attended Ogretta School. She married Eli J. Miller on Nov. 22, 1945, in Pryor. She was a lifelong resident of Mayes county and a member of Zion Mennonite Church. Her many hobbies included gardening, crocheting and growing flowers. Her family was most important to her. At one time she was a custodian for the First National Bank in Pryor.

Survivors include three sons, Carl and his wife Ruth of Chouteau, Glen an his wife Bertha of Pryor, and Joe and his wife Gloria of Apple Creek, Ohio; a daughter, Margaret Critchnau and her husband Jim of Owasso; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Everett Scheffel and Kenneth Scheffel, both of Pryor; and three sisters, Edna Miller of Pryor, Letha Miller of Sweet Home, Ore., and Lena Yoder of Pryor.
