Mrs. Alice Mohn

Reedley, California, March 5 — The funeral of Mrs. Alice Mohn, who died Friday afternoon, was held at the First Mennonite Church, Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Rev. H. J. Krehbiel and Rev. J. M. Regier paid beautiful tributes to the departed. We are responsible to Rev. Regier for the following obituary of this estimable lady.

Mrs. Alma Mohn, aged 41 years, 9 months and 2 days, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ewert, was born near Halstead, Kansas, May 29, at the age of 41 years, 9 months and 2 days. In October, 1902, she was baptized in the Garden Township church by Rev. S. S. Baumgartner, and on moving to California she united with the First Mennonite Church of Reedley, of which she was an exceptionally active member. In March, 1910, she was united in marriage to Daniel E. Mohn. Two sons and two daughters were born to this union.

Besides her husband and four children, Harlan, Sylvester, Maxine and Alberta, who deeply mourn her early departure, she is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Martha Auernheimer of Reedley, Mrs. Emma A. Langenwalter of Red Bluff, Calif., Mrs. Mary Aeuernheimer, Halstead, Kansas, and Mrs. Laura Reimer, Denver, Colorado, and three brothers, Henry A. Ewert, Waka, Texas; Frank R. Ewert, Hooker, Oklahoma; and Ferdinand E. Ewert, Lehigh, Kansas. Burial was in Reedley cemetery.
