Funeral services were held June 4 at the Walton Mennonite Church for David P. Neufeld, 78, a retired Walton farmer. He died June 1 at Axtell Christian Hospital in Newton. Harold Regier officiated at the funeral. Burial was in the Walton Cemetery. Born June 25, 1904, in Marion County, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter C. Neufeld. He married Justina Graves on May 21, 1933, at Hillsboro. She survives. He farmed in the Walton-Hillsboro-Peabody areas until moving to Walton in 1959. He had also been employed by Walton Township for many years as road maintainer and served as sexton for the Walton Cemetery. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one brother, John Neufeld of Hutchinson.
