CHRIS H. GRABER

Chris H. Graber, son of John J. and Verona Stucky Graber, was born near Moundridge, Kan. June 1, 1891. He moved to Reno County with his parents when he was four years of age. He farmed in this community until nearly four years ago when he retired and moved into Pretty Prairie.

Upon the confession of faith in Jesus Christ as personal Savior, he was baptized by Rev. J. J. Flickinger on June 14, 1908, and was received into the membership of the First Mennonite Church at Pretty Prairie. He was united in marriage to Anna Krehbiel on Dec. 8, 1929.

He passed on to his eternal home after a short illness on April 1, 1961, the day before Easter. His life will continue to be cherished by his wife Anna, one daughter, Mrs. Verna Mae Keast of Hutchinson; two sons-in-law, Kenneth Keast and Harold Coplen of Hutchinson; two sisters, Mrs. John H. Graber of Pretty Prairie and Mrs. Chris L. Stucky of McPherson and three grandchildren. One daughter preceded him in death in November, 1959.
