SALOME GERBER BAUMGARTER [sic BAUMGARTNER], daughter of Mathias and Dina Moser Gerber, was born July 6, *1862, in Wayne County, Ohio. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Matilda Amstutz, and two brothers.

Valentine and Jacob, all of Dalton, Ohio. At an early age she joined the Sonnenberg Mennonite Church, and taught a Sunday school class of girls for several years. On February 21, 1895, she was married to Abraham B. Hoffstetter, who passed away April 10, 1898. On December 20, 1900, she was married to Simon P. Baumgartner, who survives her. At that time she transferred her membership to the Halstead, Kansas, Mennonite Church. She died in the Halstead Hospital on November 24, 1942.
