Sandy Claar, 29, former member of the Carpenters Park Church, died on Feb. 2 at a Richmond, Va. hospital. She had resided in Newport News, Va. and was a member of the Providence Mennonite Church there. Sandy underwent a kidney transplant four years ago and died from complications resulting from this. The funeral, held on Feb. 4, was in charge of Kenneth Good and Wesley Boyer. Her family, the George Varner family who reside in our area, attended the funeral, as did Glenn and Arneda Steiner and Margaret Kaufman.
