• The funeral of Paul K. Funk, 78, was held last Sunday afternoon at the Goessel Mennonite Church with Rev. Henry Goossen, the pastor, officiating. Mr. Funk died April 11 at his home in Goessel. He and his first wife, the former Katharine Schmidt, farmed southwest of Hillsboro until moving to Goessel in 1941. She died in 1964. In 1966 Mr. Funk married Mrs. Neta Schmidt. She survives with two sons, Elmer and Roy, both of rural Hillsboro; two daughters, Mrs. Eldon Knak of Hillsboro and Mrs. Willard Gehring of Moundridge; 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild: two brothers, Albert and Jake, both of Hillsboro; and two sisters, Mrs. C. R. Duerksen of Hillsboro and Mrs. H. D. Duerksen of Newton.
