• Dr. and Mrs. Cornelius Krahn of North Newton received word on Oct 3 that her brother, Edgar G. Wiebe, 58, of Beatrice, Neb. had been fatally injured in an auto accident. He was returning to the farm home near Beatrice when his car was hit broadside by another vehicle at an intersection. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at the First Mennonite Church near Beatrice with the pastor, Rev. Donavin Diller, officiating. Mr. Wiebe leaves his widow, the former Vera Yoder, and children David, Deborah and Miriam of the home, and a daughter Rebecca, a student at Hesston College; and six brothers and sisters, all of whom were present for the funeral.
