Steinbach Boy Killed By Falling Rafters

Steinbach, Man.—An accident at a home construction site in Steinbach on June 9 resulted in instant death for Dennis John Friesen, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Friesen.

The boy and some companions were playing across the street from the Friesen home at the site where framing was going up for a new house. Suddenly a large stack of prefabricated rafters, lashed together with steel bands, fell from an upright position and the Friesen boy was crushed under them.
