16-Year-Old Convicted For Slaying in 1972
Virginia Bench, Va. — Sixteen-year-old John Thomas Lindsey of Fentress has been convicted for the slaying last August of J. Clarence Miller, elderly Mennonite man who was on his route as a substitute mail carrier.
Mr. Miller, 77, was a pioneer settler of the Fentress area and had been a regular mail carrier for many years before his retirement.
The youth was sentenced to life imprisonment.
