• Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Alexanderwohl Church near Goessel for William J. Banman, 75, who died unexpectedly March 21 in Goessel. Rev. Ronald Krehbiel, the pastor, officiated at the services. Mr. Banman and his wife, the former Margaret Kliewer, farmed at Route 2, Canton, before retiring and moving to Goessel in 1965. Surviving are the widow; sons Richard of rural Hillsboro and Marvin J. of Route 2, Canton; one daughter, Mrs. Milo Voth of Custer, Wash.; 12 grandchildren; one brother, Sam J. of Goessel; a half-brother, A. J. Banman of Goessel; and two half-sisters, Marie Quiring of Goessel and Elizabeth Banman of Moundridge.
