• Russell Schroeder, 14-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Alden J. Schroeder of the Goessel community, died March 29 in Palo Alto, Calif., where he had been receiving treatment for cancer. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Alexanderwohl Church, with Rev. Ronald Krehbiel officiating. Russell was in the 8th grade at Goessel Grade School. Surviving in addition to the parents are three brothers, Douglas, Rodney and Randall, and a sister, Diane, all at the home; and the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. P. C. Voth of Inman and Mrs. J. H. Schroeder of Goessel.
