GUSTAV A. HARDER
Gustav A. Harder, son of John and Marie Regier Harder, was born on Oct. 5, 1884, near Whitewater, Kan. He was called to meet his Master on March 19, 1973, at the age of 88.
Before the age of five his mother passed away, but the Lord provided another one.
He received his formal education in a country school and one term at the Bethel Academy. On June 1, 1903, he was baptized by his uncle, Rev. Gustav Harder, and remained faithful and active in the Emmaus Church.
On Jan. 31,1907, he married Anna Wiebe. To this union six sons and six daughters were born, all of whom survive him. His greatest aim was to prepare his children for this life as well as for the life to come.
