ELSIE MARIE BUHLER

Mrs.) Elsie Marie Buhler of Dalmeny, Sask. passed away on August 4. She was born to Abram and Mary Tieszen on June 11, 1921 in Dalmeny, where she lived all her life. She married Samuel E. Buhler of Dalmeny on November 11, 1945. As a teenager, she ac- cepted Christ as her personal Lord and Saviour, and was an active member of the Dalmeny Mennonite Brethren Church as long as her health allow- ed. Her musical talents shared in praise to God have been a blessing to many. She battled cancer for nearly 20 years. In spite of this, she was known throughout the community for the joy, peace and determination she exhibited amid her suffering, reports the family. She is survived by her husband Samuel; children Sandra and Wes Sommerfeld of Saskatoon, Larry and Marily Buhler of Brunkild, Man., and Sharlene of Saskatoon; five grandchildren; and brothers Abe Tieszen of Newark, CA and Harvey Tieszen of North Vancouver. The funeral was held in the Dalmeny MB Church, with pastor Rueben Dirks and Henry Blackaby of Saskatoon officiating.
