ABRAM PAULS

Abram H. Pauls died Dec. 24, 2007. He was born Aug. 9, 1915 to Henry K. and Helena Pauls in Kronstal, Ukraine. The family immigrated to Canada in 1923, moving to Glenbush in 1927 where they established a homestead. After five years at Bethany Bible School, he joined the Western Children's Mission in 1942, building a schoolhouse south of Mildred, and becoming the teacher and preacher for that community for 10 years. He married Rubina Quiring June 17, 1943 and moved to Glenbush where Abram developed his carpentry business. Building was a passion, and everything received his attention to detail. Glenbush MB Church called Abram their leader for 24 years. He retired in 1985 and moved to Saskatoon in 1998. In his quiet, humble way, he impacted more people than he ever imagined. Predeceased by 7 siblings and 1 grandson in 2004, he is mourned by Rubina; children Gloria (Chuck) Storey, Leo (Elaine), Ron (Jean), Stan (Connie), Dave (Karen), Joanne (Grant) Neufeldt; 22 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. The memorial service was Dec. 28 at Forest Grove Community Church, Saskatoon.
