JACOB VOTH

Jacob Voth died Oct. 2, 2007 from cancer. He was born Mar. 28 , 1924 in Friedensfeld, Ukraine to Jakob Peter and Maria Voth. As a teen, his par- ents were deported, but he managed to escape to Germany, coming to Canada in 1947. Jacob worked in a logging camp in Ontario and moved to Coaldale, Alta., where he married Margareta (Rita) Sudermann. He worked in con- crete for 30 years. In retirement, everyone was amazed at how he could make needlepoint pictures with such big hands. Predeceased by 4 siblings, he is mourned by Rita; son Jake (Eileen); 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; 1 brother. The funeral was Oct. 6 at Coaldale MB Church.
