JOHN SCHELLENBERG
John Schellenberg died July 21, 2007 at age 78. He was born Jan. 12, 1929 in Carnduff, Sask. to Jacob and Maria Schellenberg. The third youngest of 12 children, John moved to Toronto for work when he was 14. He wed Mary Giesbrecht in 1951, and worked as a truck driver and millwright for over 30 years, spending long periods of time away from home to provide for his family of four. In 1966 they moved to Fort St. John, B.C., and then Waldheim, Sask. He is mourned by Mary; children Dave (Doris), Gary, Debbie (Howard) Shemilt, Daryl (Pat); 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; 3 siblings. The funeral was July 25 at Waldheim MB Church.
