VICTOR ALEXANDER JANZEN

Victor Alexander Janzen died Sept. 29, 2007. He was born Aug. 18, 1918 in Alexanderkrone, Ukraine together with his twin Klaudia. Victor spent his early years blacksmithing with his father. He married Margaret Hooge in 1943, and escaped with the retreating German army soon after. He was captured by various armies, but reunited with his family thanks to the Red Cross, eventually farming in Arnold, B.C. and working for Modern Building Movers. Victor accepted Christ in Germany and was baptized in Canada, becoming a member of Arnold MB Church. In 1957, the family moved to Vancouver where they became members of Culloden MB Church, and then to Abbotsford in 1980. Victor enjoyed travelling, ironworking, and playing games. He will be remembered as a trustworthy, hardworking, honest man who was an example to the whdle family. Victor is mourned by Margaret; children Edith (Eric) Klippenstein, Ettie Janzen, Harry (Josley) Janzen; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandsons; twin sister. The memorial service was Oct. 3 at Clearbrook MB Church, Abbotsford.
