DOROTHY ESTHER DYCK

Dorothy Est her Dyck died June 18, 2007 after a battle with pancre- atic cancer. She was born Dec. 23, 1922 in Winkler, Man. to John R. and Sara Wiebe. As an only child, she helped on the farm and explored the surrounding countryside. After school, Dorothy was a teacher in south- ern Manitoba and married Edmond Dyck in 1949, living in Rosenfeld, Morris, and Winnipeg. For 18 years, she taught at Princess Margaret School in Winnipeg. Dorothy enjoyed learning, reading, music, art, and travel. She served the River East MB congregation in Sunday school, pioneer girls, women's fellowships, the library, choir, and the Women's Auxiliary of Donwood Manor. She is mourned by Edmond; children Judith and John (Dorothy); 2 grandchildren. The funeral was June 25 at River East MB Church.
